By downloading or using Free Radical, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Free Radical provides outdoor conditions data including weather, avalanche forecasts, tides, snowpack, river flow, air quality, wildfire information, fishing conditions, species-specific water temperature, solunar bite times, and related data to support outdoor activity planning. The app is intended for informational purposes only.
Free Radical aggregates data from public government and third-party sources. Conditions data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable at any time. Do not rely solely on Free Radical when making safety decisions in the backcountry, on the water, or in any outdoor environment where conditions can affect your safety.
Always consult official sources, exercise your own judgment, and follow established safety practices for your activity. Avalanche forecasts, weather alerts, and tide predictions are provided for planning purposes and do not substitute for professional guidance, local expertise, or your own assessment of conditions on the ground.
Free Radical is free to download and use. The app may offer optional in-app purchases in the future. Any purchases will be processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and subject to their respective refund policies. GOW Studios does not process payments directly.
All data you create in the app (trips, gear loadouts, notes) is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to GOW Studios servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how data is handled.
Free Radical retrieves data from public government APIs and third-party services including Open-Meteo, NOAA, USGS, NWS, Avalanche.org, OpenBeta, and Apple Maps. The availability and accuracy of this data is outside GOW Studios' control. GOW Studios makes no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided by these sources.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FREE RADICAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE DEVELOPER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONDITIONS DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR CURRENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GOW STUDIOS OR ITS DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO DECISIONS MADE BASED ON CONDITIONS DATA PROVIDED BY THE APP, INACCURATE FORECASTS, OR UNAVAILABILITY OF DATA.
IN ANY CASE, GOW STUDIOS'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP.
You agree to indemnify and hold GOW Studios and its developer harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the app or your violation of these terms.
If you have a dispute with GOW Studios arising from these terms or your use of the app, please contact us first at gowstudios@protonmail.com. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. This arbitration agreement does not prevent you from bringing a claim in small claims court if it qualifies.
These terms are governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your jurisdiction.
These terms may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or update. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
